He emphasized the Kingdom’s strategic geographic location, modern infrastructure, extensive network of free trade agreements, and long-term institutional stability.
These strengths have positioned Morocco as an attractive destination for international investors and reinforced its role as a bridge between Africa, Europe, and global markets.
Economic Reforms Driving Competitiveness
In her keynote address, Minister Nadia Fettah outlined the major structural reforms aimed at strengthening Morocco’s economic competitiveness. She highlighted the impact of the new Investment Charter, ongoing efforts to improve the business climate, and targeted investments in high-value-added sectors.
The Minister also stressed the importance of encouraging private sector participation and expanding public-private partnerships as key drivers of sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
Resilience in a Challenging Global Environment
Addressing current global challenges, Minister Fettah underscored the resilience of the Moroccan economy in the face of geopolitical and economic uncertainties. She also pointed to significant social achievements, including the rapid expansion of universal health insurance coverage and the development of regional university hospitals across the Kingdom.
Strengthening Diplomatic Engagement and Cooperation
The Diplomatic Forums, organized regularly by the Diplomatic Foundation, serve as an important platform for dialogue between the diplomatic corps accredited in Morocco and Moroccan policymakers. They provide valuable opportunities to discuss strategic development initiatives, sustainable growth policies, and future prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Joseph F. Johnson’s participation in this session reflects Liberia’s continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with the Kingdom of Morocco and exploring new avenues of partnership that contribute to the development and prosperity of both nations.
