Rabat, October 30, 2025 – On Wednesday, October 29, the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in the Kingdom of Morocco officially inaugurated its new premises, now located in the Hay Riad district of Rabat. This relocation marks a key administrative milestone, offering a modernized environment better suited to the Embassy’s diplomatic and consular operations.
A Ceremony of continuity and cooperation

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by H.E. Mr. Joseph F. Johnson, Ambassador of Liberia to Morocco, and attended by members of the African Diplomatic Corps, institutional partners, and business leaders based in Rabat. Among the distinguished guests was H.E. Mr. Mouhamadou Youssifou, Ambassador of Cameroon and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Morocco, who praised Ambassador Johnson’s strategic foresight and described the move as “a symbolic new beginning.”
A Modern space for strengthened engagement
In his remarks, Ambassador Johnson expressed his sincere appreciation to the Moroccan authorities, particularly the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), for their support throughout the relocation process. He extended special thanks to AMCI’s Director General, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Methqal, for his openness to dialogue and collaboration.

While the Embassy’s mandate remains unchanged, the new location reflects a renewed energy and a commitment to enhancing diplomatic outreach. Ambassador Johnson emphasized the Embassy’s intention to further develop economic diplomacy initiatives, in addition to its core diplomatic and consular functions.
