Liberia Engages in Regional Digital Transformation: Participation in the 3rd GITEX Conference in Marrakech

The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in the Kingdom of Morocco was honored to take part in the 3rd edition of the GITEX Conference, a globally recognized forum dedicated to technological innovation and digital cooperation. Held in the vibrant city of Marrakech, this high-level gathering brought together over 800 startups and delegates from more than 140 countries.

The Liberian delegation was led by the Honorable Sekou M. Kromah, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, accompanied by his Deputy Minister. The delegation actively contributed to discussions focused on the future of digital transformation across the African continent.

His Excellency Ambassador Joseph F. Johnson also held bilateral consultations with key cybersecurity experts, including Mr. Devine Selase Agbeti, Director General of Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority, and Dr. Martin Koyabe, Africa Lead at the Global Forum for Cyber Expertise (GFCE). Their conversations addressed prospects for strengthening Liberia’s cybersecurity architecture through international collaboration.

The Embassy of Liberia underscores that this participation reflects the nation’s commitment to advancing its digital agenda, forging strategic partnerships, and promoting inclusive and sustainable development through innovation and technology.

The Embassy further reaffirms its continued dedication to economic diplomacy and digital empowerment in alignment with Liberia’s long-term vision and the shared goals of regional cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco and beyond.
