Ambassador Joseph Fayiah Johnson
His Excellency Ambassador Joseph Fayiah Johnson is a skilled security, administrative and financial management professional in both public and private sectors, a proven leader in national, regional and international security with more than 20 years of experience.
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Morocco, as part of his public service career, Ambassador Johnson served as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Liberia (2012-2018) and Comptroller at the Ministry of Agriculture (2009-2012). In the private sector, he worked for the Liberia Agricultural Company (LAC)in Grand Bassa County as Security Manager and the Cocopa Rubber Company in Nimba County as Head of an Interim Management Team.
Ambassador Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Liberia and an MBA in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a product of the College of West Africa, the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School and the St. Philomena Elementary School in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.
He has several certificates in Defense Resource Management, from the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA, Strengthening Regional Security Initiatives in Africa, from the African Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) in Washington DC, and National and International Security from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (HKSG)in Cambridge MA. the.
He is married with four children.
