DEATH CERTIFICATE ATTESTATION
Death certificate attestation is the process of verifying the authenticity of a death certificate so that it can be used legally in a foreign country. It confirms that the death certificate was genuinely issued by the relevant authorities in the country where the death occurred.

The process of attestation usually involves several steps, potentially including verification by local notaries, government departments (like the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
Eligibility Conditions
The certificate may be requested under the following circumstances :
- Must have died in Morocco or countries accredited to the Liberian Embassy in Morocco
- Must have Doctor Report
- Must have Police Report
- Must be a Liberian or birthed by Liberian parents

- Police Report of the Incident
- Death Certificate of the Deceased
- Testimony (ies) from witness (es)
- Photograph (copy of Deceased’s Passport)
- Contact number for Next of Kin
- Establishment of the relationship between Next of Kin and the Deceased (proof of relationship or marriage)
Application Procedure
- Prepare Documents: Ensure that all required documents are complete.
- Administrative Fees Payment: 400.00 dh. The fee must be deposited in advance via bank transfer or direct deposit into our account.
Submit the Application: Present your file to the Embassy of Liberia in Rabat. - Application Processing: Processing time is usually 3 business days.
- Death Certificate Attestation pickup: Once approved, collect your document at the embassy.
Important Information
- Fees paid are non-refundable, as any incomplete application will not be processed.
- Fees must be paid at the bank : Bank of Africa (011 810 00000321 000 2556422).
- All payment slips must be scanned and sent to the Consular Service email (consularservices@liberianembassymorocco.ma) and hard copies attached to the original application documents.
