Dorbor Bedell
Dorbor Bedell, born on October 28, 1983, in Lamco, Liberia, is a remarkable individual who embodies the spirit of an entrepreneur, software engineer, and humanitarian. A proud graduate of SDA High School’s class of 1999, he rose from humble beginnings to achieve significant success.
Bedell’s academic journey took him to Morocco on a scholarship, where he not only mastered French but also earned a Technicien Spécialisé en Systèmes d’Informations (Computer Software Development) degree from the Institut Spécialisé de Technologie Appliquée.
Upon his return to Liberia, he joined LBDI Bank, where he quickly ascended to lead the Business Process Re-Engineering Unit. In a bold move in 2009, he resigned to establish his own company, Smart Systems. Today, Smart Systems is a leading force in Liberia, developing essential software solutions for banks, universities, and various businesses nationwide.
Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Bedell is the visionary behind the Dorbor Bedell Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to supporting education, rebuilding communities, and instilling hope in countless lives. A devoted family man, he is married to Mrs. Decontee Bedell and is a proud father of four daughters.
