This is an emergency travel document that is issued to a citizen by their country’s consulate or embassy abroad when their passport has been lost, stolen, or expired, to allow them to return home. It is a one-way travel document that is valid only for a single journey to Liberia. They often have a shorter period of validity compared to regular passports. Remember, it is not a proof of citizenship but rather as a means to travel.

Eligibility Conditions

  • The laissez-passer may be requested under the following circumstances:
  • Loss or theft of a passport.
  • Expired passport with no possibility of immediate renewal.
  • Urgent need to travel for humanitarian or administrative reasons.

Required Documents

  1. Laissez-Passer Application Form : Available at the embassy or downloadable online.
  2. Proof of Identity: National ID card or any other official document.
  3. Recent Passport Photo : Full face on a white background.
  4. Declaration of Loss or Theft : If applicable.
  5. Proof of Travel : Ticket or proof of travel necessity.

Application Procedure

  1. Prepare Documents : Ensure that all required documents are complete.
  2. Administrative Fees Payment: 400.00 dh. The fee must be deposited in advance via bank transfer or direct deposit into our account.
  3. Submit the Application : Present your file to the Embassy of Liberia in Rabat.
  4. Application Processing : Processing time is usually 2 business days.
  5. Laissez-Passer Collection : Once approved, collect your document at the embassy.

Important Information

  • The travel pass is valid for a limited period and a specific itinerary (30 days).
  • Fees paid are non-refundable.
  • Any incomplete application will not be processed.
Laissez-Passer fee must be paid at the bank.
Embassy of Liberia Consular Fee Account : Bank of Africa (011 810 00000321 000 2556422). All payment slips must be scanned and sent to the Consular Service email (consularservices@liberianembassymorocco.ma) and hard copies attached to the original application documents.
